The Nazgûl

"The Nazgûl" is the name of the fictional band in George R.R. Martin's novel The Armageddon Rag. The novel was a commercial failure, but TV producer Philip DeGuere attempted to turn it into a film. As part of that project, Hunter wrote new lyrics to several of the songs described in the book and recorded a partial soundtrack with John Cipollina and other Bay Area regulars.

Aside from Armageddon Rag, Blood on the Sheets and Raging are the only songs from the project to appear in Hunter's performing repertoire.
